EXPERIENCE
David’s practice areas include commercial litigation, arbitration, administrative law and county and municipal law. His background also includes work in public utility regulation, legislative lobbying, international trade and antitrust. David has worked on matters before federal and state trial and appellate courts, including the U.S. Court of Appeals, the Ninth and Tenth Circuit Courts of Appeal and federal courts in Utah, and before administrative agencies, including the U.S. Federal Trade Commission, the U.S. International Trade Commission, the U.S. Department of Commerce and Utah state agencies, including the Public Service Commission, Tax Commission and Department of Transportation.
Prior to joining Barney McKenna & Olmstead as a Partner, David worked as an Associate with Stoel Rives LLP, Salt Lake City, UT (2002 – 2006); Milbank, Tweed, Hadley & McCloy LLP, Washington D.C. (2000-01); and White & Case LLP, Washington D.C., (1998-2000).
COMMUNITY SERVICE
David has been a Boy Scouts leader and State Special Olympics volunteer.
